Inauguration of the Municipal Białystok Stadium in Poland

On 18 October, the Polish city of Białystok inaugurated its municipal football stadium, which OHL has helped construct . Following completion of the works, the stadium offers a usable surface area of more than 24,000 square meters, is able to accommodate more than 22,500 spectators and meets all UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) standards to hold matches.

The inauguration event was attended by Tadeusz Truskolaski, mayor of the city of Białystok, who made the opening speech, and Jarosław Dworzański, marshal of the Podlasie region, who made a guest appearance. The Spanish embassy in Poland was also represented by its sales director, Juan Antonio García-Denche Navarro, and the sales attaché, Laura González Villarejo. On behalf of the OHL Group, Manuel Viciana, manager of OHL Construcción Europe Area, and Ramón Gil Mataix, territorial manager in Poland of OHL Construcción Europe Area were present, amongst others.

OHL Construcción, in a joint venture with the Polish PBG group, has been in charge of executing the works in the Białystok Municipal Stadium, a project partly financed with European funds under the Regional Operating Program of the Voivodeship of Podlasie.
The technical aspects of the works include the spatial openwork structure of the stadium, containing 24,000 cubic meters of concrete, 2,400 tons of framework and 4,600 tons of metal roofing structure. The roof crown is 28.4 meters high.
